Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the process of maintaining and developing skills, knowledge and competencies over the course of your working career.

For chartered psychologists, CPD is a requirement of practice. The British Psychological Society has a mandatory requirement for chartered psychologists, who are practicing, to undertake and maintain a record of their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in order to keep up-to-date and to maintain and enhance their professional skills.

The University of Exeter offers a range of postgraduate courses to professionals wishing to update or expand their knowledge, including courses taught by researchers Psychology (eg, the psychology of organisations, research methods and statistics). We also offer a range of professional clinical training.
