Aphasia Awareness:
To improve the quality of life for aphasic people and their families by increasing awareness of aphasia.

Aphasia is difficulty speaking and listening, reading and writing, gesturing and pantomiming due to stroke or traumatic brain injury.

  • for government agencies
• improve the lives of aphasic
   people.

The contents of these pages on the awareness of aphasia was developed by Chis Code, Richard Katz and Brian Petheram, with the help of Tony Strivens and a Small Grant from the British Academy.
