Psychological Research Skills Summer Workshop

The aim of this workshop is to provide technical knowledge, skills and support to students undertaking research either as part of the Extended Project Qualification or the International Baccalaureate.

Students will learn about ongoing research in the Department of Psychology by postgraduate students, and hear from undergraduate Student Ambassadors about university life at Exeter.

This event is organised by the School Research Consortium, supported by the University of Exeter’s Widening Participation agenda.

  • 9.30 – 10.30   Bibliographic aids and conducting a literature review
  • 10.30 – 10.45  Break
  • 10.45 – 12.00  The practicalities and ethics of socially sensitive research
  • 12.00 – 13.00  Lunch (with Student Ambassadors)
  • 13.00 – 14.30  Research methods: Designing a questionnaire
  • 14.30 – 14.45  Break
  • 14.45 – 16.15  How to create a web-based questionnaire

How much will it cost?

There is a £20 registration fee for the workshop. This event is organised by the CAN School Research Consortium and are supported by the University of Exeter’s Widening Participation agenda. If your school is eligible for this scheme all fees will be waivered. Please ask your teacher if your school is recognised by the University of Exeter as eligible under this scheme.
