Profile

I studied for my undergraduate BSc (Psychology) and MSc (Psychological Research Methods and Advanced Statistics) at the University of Exeter. During my MSc I completed a research apprenticeship, investigating socioemotional processing and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in young people with offending behaviour. Graduating from this MSc with a commendation from the Dean for outstanding achievement, I was fortunate enough to be awarded an ESRC SWDTC funded studentship to continue this research. This PhD research is in collaboration with the University of Bristol, with supervision from Prof Ian Penton-Voak (Bristol), Prof Marcus Munafὸ (Bristol) and Dr Natalia Lawrence (Exeter).

Broad research specialisms:

Socioemotional processing, facial affect recognition, clinical, forensic & developmental neuropsychology, traumatic brain injury.
