Research interests

Investigation of key issues in cognitive representation of people and objects in semantic memory, word recognition and retrieval.

Work is based on evidence from acquired disorders of a number of different aetiologies (eg. stroke, TBI, dementias, encephalitis), and increasingly from fMRI and EEG. An important element of its work concerns cognitive assessment (PALPA battery) and reablement.

Research currently funded by ESRC, research studentships from ESRC, including CASE award.
