Research

Research interests

My research is into the development of perceptual and cognitive abilities in infancy.

Current research investigates the origins and development of representation and early reasoning in infants, including such topics as:

  • When are infants able to associate faces with their voices
  • Infants' ability to represent the properties of visible and invisible objects
  • Infants' ability to categorise speech sounds
  • The relationship between infant phonological abilities and those in later childhood.
