Psychology

I am a psychology researcher and my research interests span body image, women’s health, eating disorders and neuroscience. My research focuses on understanding how internal bodily processes (e.g, interoception) shape body image and disordered eating.

My methodological expertise spans using large-scale longitudinal datasets, experimental paradigms, virtual reality and emerging neurophysiological approaches to identify modifiable mechanisms underpinning body image and eating behaviours. I have particular expertise in advanced statistical modelling, including longitudinal and network analyses.

In my current postdoctoral work, I investigate longitudinal relationships between food insecurity and eating disorder pathology, using large UK cohort datasets.

I am committed to producing research with real-world impact, including co-production with lived-experience groups and in collaboration with clinical and public health partners to improve outcomes for underserved populations.
