About me:
I am a second year post graduate research student at the university after studying psychology for four years previously. I studied my undergraduate degree at the University of Sunderland, and my final year dissertation focused on investigating the effects of oxytocin on female intrasexual aggression, from an evolutionary perspective. I completed my Masters studies at the University of Sunderland also, working closely with lecturers on their projects as part of research experience modules. My MSc dissertation focussed on the role of place identity amongst a community of live action role-players and the impacts on wellbeing.
My current interests and PhD surround the identity of lesbian mothers, how both their sexual and maternal identities are constructed and maintained whilst living in an ambivalently sexist society.
Interests:
I am interested in researching sexual minority individuals, social identity and discrimination, particularly ambivalent sexism in wider society. I am also open to both qualitative and quantitative approaches to research.
Qualifications:
BSc (Hons) Psychology
MSc Psychological Research Methods
