I am a menopause advocate, speaker and founder of Black Women in Menopause (BWIM), a platform created to challenge the cultural invisibility of Black women in menopause conversations, research and care.

Through Black Women in Menopause and Black Health and Beyond, I create spaces where Black people can connect, share lived experiences and access evidence-informed, culturally relevant information about menopause and midlife health. My work focuses on making sure that diverse menopausal experiences influence how services are designed, how workplaces support staff and how national conversations about women’s health evolve.

I contribute lived-experience expertise as an NIHR Public Reviewer. In this role, I provide feedback on research proposals and documents, offering a patient, carer, and public perspective to help ensure research remains relevant, meaningful, and high-quality. I am also a Public Contributor with the NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) in Leicester. My involvement helps ensure that patient and public voices are embedded at the earliest stages of research development.
