Mrs Rose Wysocka (she/her)

Lecturer (LI CBT)
CEDAR

I am a Lecturer in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, teaching on the Level 6 Certificate in Psychological Wellbeing Practice (LI CBT); Cedar.

I am a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and have experience working in NHS Talking Therapies. Before training as a clinician, I held various positions in student mental health organisations. Since joining the University in 2022, I have worked across all of the Low Intensity CBT programmes within Cedar and supported students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.

I love to create welcoming and stimulating learning spaces. I am experimental in my teaching approach and enjoy finding new and creative ways to engage students.

My experience as a former students' union sabbatical officer has shaped my approach as an educator. I am committed to learning from students and enhancing the student experience in the broadest sense, particularly the experience of students who may feel underrepresented as a psychological professional. I have an interest in widening access into psychological training and develop initiatives to diversify the psychological workforce.

My clinical interests include adapting practice for faith identities and reducing the stigma of mental health difficulties within faith communities.

I lead the OCD training for trainee and qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners. I am a co-author of the Overcoming OCD and Staying Well workbooks. These are based on Low Intensity CBT interventions and can be used in clinical practice.

I am currently on secondment with Cedar Create, leading the design and delivery of an adapted training programme for the military in Canada.
