I am an Educational Psychologist (EP) and lecturer, currently teaching on the MSc Psychology (conversion) programmes and 'Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP)' and 'Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP)' courses at the University of Exeter.

My main research interests are in social constructivist approaches to learning and assessment, particularly dynamic assessment.  Other research interests include systemic approaches to mental health in schools, particularly special educational settings, and support for neurodivergent children and young people.

Prior to my role at Exeter University I was an academic and clinical lecturer on the DEdPsy Programme at The Tavistock and Portman NHS Clinic in London, where I was a thesis research supervisor and examiner. I was also a Senior Teaching Fellow at UCL, Institute of Education, supervising research on the MSc Psychology of Education programme. I continue to work as a visiting lecturer, on a number of the DEdPsy courses in the UK and also have a research advisor role on the DEdPsy course at UCL.
