Dr Sarune Savickaite (she/her)

Dr Sarune Savickaite is an interdisciplinary psychologist, educator and researcher whose work sits at the intersection of psychology, education, design and emerging technologies. 

Originally trained in art, illustration and graphic design before retraining as a psychologist, she approaches research and education through deliberate disciplinary boundary crossing. Her work spans cognitive and perceptual psychology, neurodiversity, Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience (UX), Extended Reality (XR), educational technology, robotics and the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

She completed her PhD in Psychology at the University of Glasgow, where her ESRC-funded research investigated the use of Virtual Reality to understand individual differences in perception and neurodiversity. In 2026, Dr Savickaite was named among the Vevox Top 100 Educators to Watch worldwide, recognising her innovative approach to teaching and student engagement.
