About Me: 
I am passionately interested in applying the science of mind to reducing suffering and increasing happiness. More specifically, I am interested in how psychological treatments for depression work and how they can be improved. 

My PhD:
My project aims to adapt Augmented Depression Therapy (ADepT) to adolescent depression. Depression is characterised by reduced positive emotion (anhedonia) and increased negative emotion (dysphoria). Whilst conventional treatments of depression successfully reduce dysphoria, they are less effective at reducing anhedonia. ADepT is an innovative approach to the treatment of depression that focuses on increasing positivite emotions (thriving, experiencing well-being) as well as reducing negative emotions (coping, being resillient). ADepT has successfuly been applied to improving depression treatments in adults; I hope to explore its potential to improve depression treatments in adolescents.
