Overview

Aleksandra is an Associate Lecturer within Clinical Education, Development and Research (CEDAR), Psychology, specifically responsible for the MSci Applied Psychology (Clinical) programme. The MSci prepares students for a career as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners. Prior to entering Higher Education Aleksandra worked as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner in an IAPT service and as an Assistant Psychologist in two neuro-rehabilitation centres.

Her main interests are Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and supporting people with long-term conditions and common mental health problems to engage with guided self-help.

Outside of the world of IAPT and CBT, Aleksandra has a further interest in group analysis, which she has explored through training with the Group Analytic Network South West and a Diploma in the Application of Group-analytic Principles to Group Work in an Agency Setting.

Aleksandra teaches on the MSci Applied Psychology (Clinical) programme and on the Postgraduate Certificate in Psychological Therapies Practice (LICBT).
