Academic peer mentorship

Do you find university a little overwhelming and aren't sure where to start?

If the answer to this is yes, why not get a student mentor?

Our departmental academic peer mentorship scheme allows you to select a student who is currently in their third year to guide you through University and share their own experience in Psychology.

What can an academic peer mentor help me with?

Mentors can help you with a range of things - these could be academic-related (e.g. sharing their experiences of note-taking) or could be more general University things (e.g. helping you join societies or meet others).

How can I choose a mentor suitable for me?

If you are interested in participating in the academic peer mentorship scheme as a mentee, then follow this link to let us know you are interested in participating. We will then send you an email with all the mentors - a photo of them and a little CV that includes what they are most likely to help with - and you can choose your own!

How often will I meet my mentor?

Meetings will be once a month.

How will I meet with my mentor?
