Dr Chris Dodds
Senior Lecturer

Chris Dodds is a cognitive neuroscientist interested in neural mechanisms of cognitive control and reward.

Chris completed a BSc in psychology at the University of Wales, Bangor before going on to do a PhD at the Cognition and Brain Sciences in Cambridge.  This was followed by a postdoc in the Behavioural and Clinical Neuroscience Institute at the University of Cambridge and then at the GlaxoSmithKline clinical unit in Cambridge.

Chris‘s work uses a variety of approaches, including functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and psychopharmacology, to understand how we control our thoughts and actions and how these systems break down in neuropsychiatric disorders such as ADHD, addiction, obesity and schizophrenia, with the ultimate aim of developing new and better treatments.
